The partnership will see the Miss Ghana Foundation support the prevention of HIV infections among Ghanaian youth, create awareness about Ebola virus and also take part in activation to promote female hygiene.

This would further empower Ghanaian youth, especially young women and adolescent girls with knowledge on how to avoid infections related to HIV and Ebola as well as educate on female hygiene. The partnership was signed in Accra on Monday 20 February 2017.

In his part, the UNAIDS Country Director, Mr Girmay Haile, stressed the need to for innovative partnership to focus on prevention programmes to reduce new HIV infections in Ghana. He said “What we see in Ghana is a national AIDS response that has shown progress but is equally challenged by attitudes and behaviors that keep putting more and more young people and adolescents at risk of new HIV infection.

He went to elaborate saying “We must realize that the very low condom use, lack of willingness to know own HIV status and adopting a lifestyle that defies safe sex practices are our main challenges and all these speak more of the individual than the system”. He also applauded the Miss Ghana Foundation for choosing to work on HIV, Ebola and female hygiene awareness with its pageants on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Ghana @60.

The Miss Ghana Foundation is a registered charity arm of the prestigious Miss Ghana beauty pageant. Over the years, past Miss Ghana queens have taken up different social projects that help transform and positively impact lives of the most vulnerable or less privileged in society. The MGF Management has realized that though such projects are laudable, their sustainability is low or non-existent, therefore, the Management initiated the concept of having all newly crowned Miss Ghana Queens, their runner ups and regional queens (finalists) work under the Miss Ghana Foundation umbrella so as to ensure sustainability of charity projects in each of the ten region of Ghana and beyond.

Step Down As GHAMRO Chairman And Save Your Image – Kojo Advised

1

Music legend Kojo Antwi has been advised to gently step down as Chairman of Ghana Music Rights Organisation, GHAMRO following the recent insults from members of the group.

Radio Presenter Nana Romeo who cares about the music maestro’s reputation speaking to Zionfelix.net said the recent complain about GHAMRO’s mismanagement by its members does not speak well of the musician’s high-earned reputation. The Accra FM presenter believes the musician has worked hard these past years to gain respect from several people across the globe hence should not allow certain people to use offensive words on him due to his leadership at GHAMRO.

He pleaded with Kojo Antwi to do the honour of stepping down as Chairman of the organisation to save his image.

“I remember very well that Kojo Antwi released his first album in the 1980s and since then, he has been respected by many people in Africa, Europe, America and other parts of the world. You will hardly hear anything bad about the musician which will give you room to insult him.

You will only hear about Kojo Antwi when he is about to release an album or a song so it is very difficult for people to talk to him anyhow.

Not long ago, we heard that he has joined GHAMRO and truth be told, things were going on well when he started but things are not going on well as the members expected. This has given room for young guys Kojo Antwi can call his grandsons and daughters to talk to him anyhow, something I think does not augur well.

People are just tarnishing the image Kojo Antwi has built over the years. My humble appeal to Kojo Antwi is to step down as GHAMRO chairman for someone to takeover. He should protect the living legend status he has gained for these past years. We can’t sit to look at some people insult him just like that because of GHAMRO affairs.

He’s lived a better life these past years to gain many assets he wants for his life and children so what kind of money is at GHAMRO that will make him allow some people to just insult him” Nana Romeo told Zionfelix.net during a phone conversation.

Kojo Antwi has come under sever attack in recent times for not handling the affairs of the organisation as he promised two years ago when vying for the position.

You might not see certain faces in the new Kofas Media and Miracle Wave International collaborated movie as reported earlier because of a misunderstanding, which has erupted between producers of the film and few cast of the movie.

Information in our rumour mill has it that cast of the movie which title is known as “Greedy Bastard” are demanding increment in fee. According to the informant who gave Zionfelix.net this hint, the top stars who are requesting for more cash never knew that Kofas Media was shooting the new movie in partnership with Miracle Wave International.

The source added that one of the major reasons why these actors are demanding for increment is due to the whopping $150,000 budget for the movie. We are told the actors are crying foul because they claim they wouldn’t have charged the fee they mentioned if they knew the estimated budget was $150,000.

Due to this unfortunate happening, Zionfelix.net is told that there is a possibility of renowned actors like Majid Michel, Martha Ankomah and few others not appearing in the movie which production is currently ongoing.

Kofi Asamoah, producer of the movie declined to comment on the development when Zionfelix.net contacted him on phone.

Martha Ankomah was one of the many actors who visited ex president Rawlings at his Ridge office in Accra when cast of the movie paid a courtesy call on him.

The new movie features actors like Pete Edochie from Nigeria, Kalybos, Nana Ama Mcbrown, Joselyn Dumas, KSM, Liwin, Bishop Bernard Nyarko, Selly Galley, Salma Mumin, Abeiku Santana, Gracey Nortey, Grace Omaboe, Moesha Bodoung and many others.

I Never Demanded Cash From MzGee For An Interview – Medikal Speaks

121

Rapper Medikal has denied allegation by Hitz FM’s MzGee that he requested cash from her when she needed an interview in December 2016.

The ‘Too Risky” rapper reacting to the claim on Gh One TV stated clearly that “I never requested money from anyone”. Explaining his side of the story, Medikal disclosed that his manager drew his attention on a screenshot going viral on social suggesting he demanded money from the TV and radio presenter before granting an interview.

He added “I’ve done interview for her before so I don’t know what she is talking about”. According to the musician, he sometimes books interviews with radio and TV presenters after realising they are pushing his works so he was surprised to hear about such an unfortunate incident.

Commenting on the screenshot, which suggested that a conversation about cash for interview happened between MzGee and himself, the AMG signed artiste stated that “I don’t know who did this thing. I laughed when I saw this screenshot on twitter. Maybe she talked to wrong Medikal.”

To him, he is not worried about this accusation. Medikal concluded, “I don’t know the kind of hype they want but I won’t give them that hype”

MzGee of Hitz FM & Joy News

Zionfelix.net reported days ago that Hitz FM and Joy News anchor MzGee has described rapper Medikal real name Samuel Adu Frimpong as the most arrogant artiste in the country because of an encounter she had with him when she needed an interview.

I told him I wanted to interview Sister Derby and him and he asked how much I was going to pay them. I replied that I don’t have money and he said I should hala (call) when I get money” she told Zionfelix.net

The radio and TV presenter later sent a screenshot of her chat with Medikal to prove that the musician demanded money when she needed an interview.

New Music: Strongman – Aban (Prod By Cabum)

1

Rapper/wordsmith Strongman is out with a new tune titled ‘Aban’ produced by Cabum.

On this tune, the rapper talks about how the government has always put a deaf ear on the cries of the people. He tends to be a spokesman for the masses by telling the government to be up and doing in fulfilling the promises they made to Ghanaians during the campaign period.

Strongman goes on to urge Ghanaians to sit up and work hard to earn a living rather than just waiting for the government to perform all.

This song puts real meaning to the famous definition of government which says ‘government for the people, to the people and by the people’.

In all, the rapper is asking who the government should help if we all sit down idle waiting for them to work.

Produced by Cabum of OM Studios, this tune has a nice groove and suits all occasions.

Stop The “There’s No Movie Industry In Ghana” Nonsense – Gloria Osei Sarfo Tells Colleagues

5
Gloria Osei Sarfo

Ghanaian actress Gloria Osei Sarfo is peeved at her colleagues who constantly say during interviews that there is no movie industry in Ghana.

The actress in an interview with Hitz FM’s MzGee expressed complete disgust for such comments from her colleagues when they fail to attend industry meetings. According to her, she gets worried when Ghanaian actors praise their colleagues from Nigeria forgetting they fought for the Nigeria movie industry to flourish.

She added that most Ghanaian actors are underrated because of how they carry themselves. The ‘Efiewura’ star asked her colleagues to come together and think alike to help develop the movie industry and stop their bossy behavior.

“We see our counterparts in Nigeria and we appreciate and enjoy what they worked for. That is not the way it should be and it breaks my heart. When they go for interview and they are asked how the industry is going, they will reply that is there an industry? We need to stop that talk.

Meanwhile there is an industry meeting and you are nowhere to be found. You tell somebody you are an actress in Ghana and hey will disregard you as if it is not a profession.

The way we are underrated is because of how we carry ourselves and how our industry is collapsing.

Why can’t we come together and build it? angry Gloria Osei Sarfo told MzGee.
