Kofi Nkosuo who could not cool his temper during the interview called the female gospel musician ‘ Ashawo’, an utterance which angered Miss Jacky more.

“After thinking about what happened between the two of us, I’ve been very sad. I still can’t believe I was on radio insulting her. All ladies are replica of my mother so that shouldn’t have happened at all. All these things have made me realised that I’ve to apologise.
I’m pleading with Ohemaa to forgive me for Ghanaians to also do same for peace to prevail” regretted Kofi Nkosuo pleaded.

Gospel musician and music producer, Nana Osei popularly known as Nacee feels betrayed by the team he worked with on NDC’s ‘Onaapo’ campaign project.
The musician who sounded disappointed on Sunday evening speaking to Franky5 on Hitz FM’s This Is Gospel entertainment show refuted claims that he pocketed all Gh120, 000 given to the team to promote the ‘Onaapo’ project. He stated that he is ready to account for the Gh61, 000 cash he took out of the Gh120, 000 that was given to them.
He asked the other five members who were part of the project to also prepare for accountability. According to him, all the five people he worked with including Franky5 who was interviewing him betrayed him.
“I am ready to account for the Gh61, 000 that came to me. Let them also get ready and account for the Gh59,000. My people I worked with including you (Franky5) have betrayed me.
Ashis, Mel, Bull Dog, Frank Agyemang and yourself have all disappointed me.
Even if I gave you Gh1, then it means I’m not a greedy man. The person (Mel Kwasi Davis) who is calling me a greedy man was paid at the time he had done nothing,” Nacee said.
Management of Ohemaa Mercy has strongly talked against bribery claims by George Quaye, PRO for Charterhouse.
Mr. Isaac Twum-Ampofo, head of Ohemaa Mercy’s management team in an interview with Zionfelix on Radio Univers Monday said the assertion that they offer bribe for awards has disgraced all gospel musicians in the country. According to him, George Quaye’s inability to mention names of the gospel artistes who offered bribe for the awards paints all musicians in the gospel industry black in the eyes of the public.
According to him, the public will accuse all gospel musicians who have either won awards or had nominations of paying bribe to attain the achievement. The man who announced that he was speaking with anger added that gospel musicians in the country work very hard so they never expected George Quaye to make such a statement to dent their image.
Mr. Twum Ampofo asked George Quaye to mention names of the gospel musicians who gave bribe else his artiste, Ohemaa Mercy will return all the awards she has won.
“It will be good for the gentleman (George Quaye) and his outfit to come out and mention names of those who paid or attempted to pay bribe so that some of us who have our credibility at stake will not have people looking at us with four eyes.
It is very painful and disrespectful to some of us who took some awards years back. For us, if they do not come out to mention names, we have to return the plagues to them.
They have to mention names because it has affected any individual who has ever had a nomination or won an award.” the angry manager told Zionfelix.
When Zionfelix asked if they will decline their decision to return all the awards Ohemaa Mercy has won when Charterhouse announces that his artiste who is also his wife did not offer bribe for the awards she has, the boss of Unique Brand Communication said without mincing words that they will not because “that will be very selfish of us to do that.”
Ohemaa Mercy and her husband, Mr. Isaac Twum Ampofo married on October 26, 2002, at the Church of Pentecost English Assembly in Koforidua.
Ghanaian hiplife musician Article Wan has failed to agree with President of Policy think-tank, IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe who believes the musician’s ‘Solo’ hit song lack content.
The Policy advisor who did not seem to understand why Ghanaians are jamming to Article Wan’s hit song, ‘Solo’ questioned the meaning of the words he used in the song saying “What is “nngengne“? and “solo”? Why gyrate like grasshoppers to lyrics you don’t understand?”.
Article Wan in an interview with Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brucnh2Lunch entertainment show on Monday responding to his comment said the popular ‘Solo’ song has content. He opined that most people have not taken time to analyse the lyrics in the song hence their conclusion that the song does not make sense.
The singer cum music producer also blamed Ghanaian DJs for playing the song at a faster tempo preventing listeners to hear the lyrics of the song. The artiste who made it clear that he respects Mr. Cudjoe’s opinion on his song advised Ghanaians to hold in high regard the works of musicians than to rubbish them.
“My ‘Solo’ song has content so I disagree with what Franklin Cudjoe said even though that is his opinion. If you really take time to listen to the song, you will understand what I’m talking about well.
Most of the DJs speed the song so you will not even hear the lyrics clear but the song ‘Solo’ has content. The music Ghanaians are releasing in recent times are good ones.
Even if someone does music and it lacks content, let us appreciate the creative side of it. Let us say my song has no content, the creative bit of it should be applauded tha to generalise everything and say they are all bad. To gather something to make it melodious, rhythmic for people to fall in love with it and travel beyond the boundaries is not something easy to achieve. People should rather say better things about us than to say it is empty.
They should listen to our songs very well before talking to them.” Article Wan told Zionfelix.
Detailing the content of the ‘Solo’ song, he explained that “the song talks about difference. The solo word in there is not the English word, which means single but a Ga word, which means difference. So all I’m trying to say is everybody is different”.
“Because the song is on a high tempo and people are already enjoying it, most of them are not really paying attention to the lyrics but rather enjoying the melody. The song has content so people should just check the lyrics online and they will see it” he added.
When Zionfelix asked if the song was recorded purposely for people to dance to it or send a message to the public since certain musicians record danceable songs without a ‘sensible’ message, he replied, “I was sending a message across and also making the fans dance”.

A Revered minister, Bernard Amankwah, who is also one of the renowned gospel musicians, has admonished his colleague gospel musicians to boycott this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award for what he described as unpalatable allegations leveled against gospel musicians in Ghana.
The man of God made this statement on Adom Entertainment hall Show on Saturday, January 28, 2017, with Mike2.
According to him, the Charterhouse Public Relationship Officer, George Quaye, was said to have made a statement that, gospel musicians are pressuring him with bribe to able them make their way through the award scheme.
This, the gospel musician feels very disappointed for a PRO of such an institution to come out with such a shameful statement to bring the hard earned reputation of the whole noble gospel musicians into dispute.
“The PRO in his own statement has exposed him that, the scheme is not credible because people buy them every year, this is uncalled for statement that is disgracing us. Since he is disgracing the entire gospel musicians, I therefore entreat my colleagues to boycott this year’s award”, he advised.
He said their field is not corrupt as the PRO is alleging and had, therefore, dared him to come out with evidence to proof or otherwise.
He has therefore urged all gospel musicians to boycott the awards and charged the PRO to come out with an unqualified apology to the musicians.
Highlife singer Sista Afia after critics talking against her action of kissing fans at a concert in Kumasi last year has repeated the kissing act.
This time, she did not kiss fans but a TV Presenter.
The female musician was in Kumasi over the weekend to promote her new single, “Jeje” which features Shatta Wale. The singer after visiting several radio stations in the Garden City was on Kessben TV’s ‘Around Town’ entertainment show hosted by Quoo Fante.
After minutes of communication between host of the show and the singer, the interviewer requested for a kiss since he was absent at the YFM Area Codes Jam held on March 2016.
Generous Sista Afia after Quoo Fante’s prayer served him with a kiss. Maybe we need to make “The Kisser” Sista Afia’s last name since kissing unknown people is not a problem for her.
