Bro Sammy & Ohemaa Jacky

Enough is enough! Gospel musician Bro. Sammy wants his issue with Ohemaa Jacky end today.

The worshipper has run to Apostle Oko Hackman to help him apologise to the Ghanaian-born UK-based female gospel musician. Kofi Nkosuao, Bro. Sammy’s manager who communicated the information to Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show disclosed that the gospel musician wants peace to prevail hence his decision to say sorry to Ohemaa Jacky.

He added that information they have gathered is that the man of God has pleaded on their behalf so they believe Ohemaa Jacky has forgiven Bro. Sammy.

“It is true that Bro Sammy asked Apostle Oko Hackman to apologise to Ohemaa Jacky. Almost everybody who called Sammy about the issue talked about peace so they were not interested in any explanation. Many people talked to Ohemaa to cut matters short so we also informed Apostle to talk to her on our behalf.

I’ve had information that he has talked to her” Kofi Nkosuo told Zionfelix on Radio Univers.

He added that Ghanaians should expect a possible collaboration between Bro Sammy and Ohemaa Jacky since the issue has been solved.

Wanlov Tells Why Two Of His Kids Are Called TV And Radio

1

You just cannot believe the names controversial musician Wanlov has given to his children.

The musician who was on Accra FM’s entertainment show hosted by DJ Premiere gave names if his children as OB, Mali, Ama, TV, Kwadwo, and Radio. One would ask why Wanlov would name his children TV and Radio, same question that came out of the mouth of DJ Premiere after the musician listed names of his six children.

Giving reasons for naming the fourth and sixth born as Television (TV) and Radio respectively, the half of Fokn Bois music group said both are from the same mother. According to him, “TV was delivered 10 days after his mum was supposed to give birth so we kept looking inside him mum‘s womb like TV for those 10 days waiting for him. We mostly said we are watching the woman’s womb like TV so it automatically became his name after he was born.”

Detailing why he named his last born Radio, Wanlov disclosed that “I told TV’s mother that the next child will be named Radio as soon as she told me that she is pregnant again so that we get TV and Radio in our family”.

Sista Afia & Austine Woode on Abusua FM in Kumasi

Female highlife singer Sista Afia has told Austine Woode on Abusua FM in Kumasi how she used to fear dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

The singer who was in the Garden City to promote her latest single, Jeje disclosed that she has always pictured the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker as a rowdy person because the media mostly reported the dark side of him. The professional nurse disclosed during the conversation that she was always afraid to approach him because she thought he would rain insult on her. Sista Afia added that she was surprised at the warm reception he gave her when they first met before proposing their ‘Jeje’ collaboration.

According to her, she never knew Shatta Wale was a very cool guy. Real name, Francisca Gawugah, Sister Afia said she felt comfortable with him two days after their first meeting because he proved beyond doubt that he is not how the media has portrayed him.

“One thing I always tell people is that Shatta Wale is one of the amazing, sweetest people I’ve ever met in the industry. Before I had not met Shatta Wale, I was afraid of him because of what the media painted about him.

When I even saw him on the first day, I didn’t want him to approach me because I was afraid he would shoot a video and insult me if I offend him but I became comfortable with him two days after.” Sista Afia said.

Narrating how she had Shatta Wale on her latest single, “Jeje”, she recounted “after I met him through someone, I told him I have a song I want him to listen. He then told me he would come to wherever I was and true to his words, he came to meet me. After listening to it, he said it was a nice tune so he would love to be on it. He then called Willis Beatz who produced it and asked for the data and in few days time, he sent me his part.”

Sista Afia made it clear that Shatta Wale did not charge him a dime for the collaboration neither did he take a penny for the music video. Zionfelix.net gathers that music video for Sista Afia and Shatta Wale’s collaborated song, Jeje will be out in few days.

VGMAs Bribery Claim: Nacee Blasts Gospel Musicians For Attacking George Quaye

Nacee & Ohemaa Mercy on stage

Nacee wants all gospel musicians to forgive Charterhouse PRO, George Quaye for his bribery allegations against them since he has publicly apologised for his “careless” utterance.

The musician on This Is Gospel show with Franky5 said Mr. Quaye’s action after his statement proves he has regretted the comment so his fellow gospel musicians should let sleeping dogs lie. He stated emphatically that gospel musicians can never organise their awards so they should never plan of boycotting the biggest music awards in the country.

He questioned the whereabouts of the many gospel music awards, which started years ago. Nana Osei as he is known in real life asked the musicians to sit with George Quaye and solve the problem instead of going haywire on radio and TV.

“We should leave George Quaye alone because he has apologised. The bible says we should forgive and so long as the person has seen that what he did was wrong and has apologised, why shouldn’t we forgive him?

I’m just pleading with my brothers and sisters to forgive. We cannot organise any awards.

I’m daring anyone who thinks he can organise gospel awards to try it in this country, we cannot do it. How many awards haven’t we tried in this country but where are they now?

Multimedia tried one but ask them when they will orgnise the next one. They will tell you they suffered before even getting sponsors for that gospel awards.

This is not the time to runaway from the problem. If you think someone has offended you, you sit with the person and solve the issue.

So if you set up your own gospel awards scheme and you think they are also not treating you well, are you going to leave that one as well and setup another one?” Nacee said on Hitz FM’s This Is Gospel show with Franky5.

Forget The Apology, George Quaye And VGMAs Board Members Must Resign – Concerned Radio Presenters

7

Head of Communications for Charterhouse Ghana, organizers of the Ghana Music Awards, George Quaye is still in hot waters for his bribery claim against gospel musicians.

The latest people to add their voice to the issue is a group called Concerned Radio Presenters. Spokesperson for the association, Michael Boateng popularly known as Mike 2 speaking to Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show said PRO for the entertainment house and board members of the awards must resign for the bribery comments.

He explained that accepting bribe is illegal in the country so they have to voluntarily leave their job for others to investigate the issue. The host of Adom FM’s entertainment show rubbished George Quaye’s apology asking Ghanaians to give deaf ears to the plea because it does not refute the bribery claim he made on live TV.

“George Quaye just made the bribery claim but he never said whether he acepted it or not so he must resign. We never knew people pay or attempt to pay bribe so he has to mention names of such people. It is illegal to pay bribe in the country so they have to call for the arrest of such people.

For the board members, they take the final decision after the public has voted so if their final decision is influenced by bribe, then they have to also resign for investigation” Mike 2 told Zionfelix.

He also asked gospel musicians to boycott the music awards until Charterhouse House, organisers of the awards prove the bribery allegation because they have disgraced the gospel music industry.

The PRO for Concerned Radio Presenters stated that George Quaye’s assertion has confirmed comments from the general public that the annual music awards is not credible.

Asked what they will do if George Quaye and VGMAs board members do not resign as they wish, Mike 2 replied Zionfelix that their next action will be communicated later.

Nacee Is A Liar, Onaapo Cash More Than Gh 120,000 – Mel Kwasi Davis

1

Artiste manager and a member of the team who helped Nacee to work on NDC’s Onaapo campaign project, Mel Kwasi Davis has called the musician a liar for saying they were given Gh120, 000 for the task.

Mel in a conversation with Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show said they were given Gh 140,000 contrary to Gh120, 000 Nacee stated in an interview with Franky5 on Hitz FM’s This is Gospel show. According to him, they were given Gh20, 000 before they went for another Gh120, 000 so he cannot fathom why the gospel musician doesn’t want to add the two.

“What he said is not the truth. We first met one of the big men in the party and he gave us Gh20, 000 before we visited another person who gave us the Gh120, 000. If you add the two, the total will be Gh140, 000 but not Gh120, 000 Nacee is saying. I cannot say anywhere on this planet that the Gh20, 000 which was first given to us was not part of the money because it was given to us to help the project.” he said.

Commenting on musician’s revelation that he, Nacee took Gh 61,000 out of the total Gh120, 000 and gave the rest, Gh59, 000 to the other five people in the group – Mel Kwasi Davis, Bull Dog, Frank Agyekum, Franky5, and Ashes, Mel disclosed that he was surprised when the music producer mentioned that on Hitz FM. The boss of Event Republic said the person who linked the team to the big men in NDC charged 20% (Gh24, 000 if the money is Gh 120,000) of the total cash. He added that Nacee camped the remaining cash after the other five members of the team had Gh 7,000 each to use for the project.

On what has brought the brouhaha on the Onaapo cash, Mel told Zionfelix that the Gh 120,000 NDC gave them was to promote the songs but not to pay for the studio cost of the works but Nacee took part of the money to pay for production cost. He disclosed that Nacee told them after going for the cash that he needed to use part of the money meant for the promotion to pay for the cost of the works, something they thought was wrong.

According to him, Nacee did not inform them about the cost before going for the cash else they would have taken more than what was given them to be able to cater for the production cost.

“The Gh120, 000 was for promotional purposes in all 10 regions and nothing else.

He should have told us the cost of everything so that we will also add it to what we will demand from them.

Why did he wait for us to go for the money before telling us that he needed to pay the cost of the production?”
