Ghanaian rapper Ypee Baakop3 has opened up about the financial benefits he has gained since he started his career as an artist in the Ghanaian music industry.

In a recent interview, Ypee Baakop3 shared that he had made substantial money from his music catalogs.

The rapper also stated that he has never received any money from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) as royalties for his works since he entered the Ghanaian music industry in 2018.

He said: “I have never received any royalties from GHAMRO.”
Ypee joked that he did not expect to receive considerable monies from GHAMRO as royalties if an artiste like Esther Smith earned only GH₵500.00 from the organization despite being a veteran with many songs to her credit.

He said:

“If Esther Smith is earning GH₵500.00 from GHAMRO, how much do you expect me to get? Esther Smith released a lot of songs from way back and she earned only that amount.”

The Didi Me Botom hitmaker added that he had never received a call from the organisation concerning royalty payments.

Guru recounts how a spiritualist removed metals and wood from his body after juju attack

Ghanaian rapper Guru, known in private life as Maradona Yeboah Adjei, has opened up about his experience with spiritual attacks

Guru shared a mysterious on-stage blackout and subsequent health issues he claims were the result of a ‘juju’ attack in an interview.

According to him, his personal assistants connived to attack him spiritually, leading to a nearly disastrous scene during a stage performance.

Speaking with Emelia Brobbey during her Okukuseku talk show, Guru recounted a disturbing incident during a live performance.

“I went on stage, I performed some four songs. It got to one of my hit songs, and I went mute. I couldn’t talk, and the DJ stopped the music, thinking I wanted to interact with the fans,” he explained.

Before the blackout on stage, the Legon SRC presidential aspirant said he had received warnings from two pastors but did not take them seriously until it happened.

After the harrowing experience on stage, his health deteriorated, and he sought spiritual help to cure recurring stomach aches, sore throat, and voice problems which hampered him for eight months.

The Lapaz Toyota hitmaker added that a herbalist he consulted extracted metal objects and pins from his throat, as well as some wood with thorns and hooks from his stomach

“If anybody had said it, I would have doubted, but right before my eyes, I saw it,” Guru emphasised.

The rapper described the toll it took on his career and personal life, leading him to take a break after the release of his hit song “Samba” and cut ties with his inner circle, including his assistants.

If not courtship, you can have 3 or more boyfriends/girlfriends – Alpha Hour Pastor advises

0

Pastor Elvis Agyemang, the founder of Grace Mountain Ministries, has stirred up conversation with a bold statement regarding relationships.

During one of his recent sermons, he expressed an unconventional view about dating. According to Pastor Agyemang, it is perfectly acceptable to have multiple boyfriends or girlfriends if the relationship is not yet defined as courtship.

He elaborated that dating several people allows individuals to explore their options and understand their preferences before making a serious commitment.

Pastor Agyemang emphasized that many people rush into relationships without fully knowing the person, which often leads to heartbreak. In his view, having more than one partner before courtship can provide clarity in making the right choice.

However, he clarified that the commitment becomes exclusive once a relationship transitions into courtship—a phase typically viewed as a precursor to marriage.

Pastor Agyemang warned that entering courtship while continuing to date others would be seen as inappropriate and dishonorable.

His remarks have sparked debate, with some agreeing that it is important to date widely to avoid settling, while others believe loyalty should be prioritized even in casual dating.

This topic has generated mixed reactions on social media, with people sharing their own thoughts on relationships and commitment.

“I’m the only Gospel artiste in Ghana with an intact marriage” – Brother Sammy brags

0

He spoke to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s midmorning programme, ‘Ayekoo Ayekoo’, on Wednesday, 11 September 2024.

“My marriage has not failed. I’m still married,” Brother Sammy said. “Contrary to public notion, it’s rekindled and blazing even more brightly.”

“Among the Gospel artistes,” he added, “I’m the only one whose marriage is still intact and vibrant.”

“I’ve only asked people to prioritise having children over marriage. When you’re not well, your children will take care of you,” the Gospel music star asserted.

This comes after Ghanaian musician Ohemaa Mercy shared a surprising reason for her decision to divorce after many years of marriage.

In an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, Ohemaa Mercy revealed that the Holy Spirit guided her to seek a divorce so she could fully commit to her ministry.

She explained that it was only after the divorce that she truly felt God’s presence.

“I remember when I was going through the divorce. During COVID-19, I depended solely on God for direction; I had a strong covenant with Him.

I would go to the mountains to pray for three months because I wanted to hear what the Lord had to say about what was happening in my life.

When I heard Him clearly, I took that bold step. I had confirmation from God—if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have done it.”

I give God the glory because even though I am divorced, this is the time I have felt God’s hand so strongly on my life, even more than when I was married,” she affirmed.

Ohemaa Mercy further shared that her husband agreed with the decision, allowing her to embrace God’s guidance and blessings fully.

Ohemaa Mercy is a liar, God never told her to divorce her husband – Brother Sammy states

0

Gospel musician Brother Sammy has voiced his strong disapproval of fellow Gospel artist Ohemaa Mercy’s claim that God instructed her to divorce her husband, Isaac Twum Ampofo, after three months of prayer on a mountain during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo show with Nana Romeo on 11 September 2024, Brother Sammy expressed his support for divorce in certain situations but criticized Ohemaa Mercy’s approach.

Challenging the common Christian belief that God disapproves of divorce in all cases, Brother Sammy questioned how people know if God brought two individuals together in marriage in the first place.

He argued that marriage is a human decision rather than a divine arrangement, saying, “God does not roam to find a woman for a man to marry… You found your partner at the club, party, funeral, etc., and married them.”

He encouraged people in abusive marriages to consider divorce, advising, “If your life is under attack in your marriage, run,” while emphasising that marriage is not eternal. “Marriage is one of the things we’ll leave behind when we die,” he noted.

Despite his views on divorce, Brother Sammy strongly rejected Ohemaa Mercy’s claim that God told her to dissolve her marriage. He argued, “Ohemaa Mercy lied about hearing God’s voice asking her to divorce her husband. It’s never true but lies.”

He further speculated that Ohemaa Mercy’s desire for independence might be the real reason behind her decision, suggesting she wanted to enjoy life outside the constraints of marriage.

“This is hypocrisy… She has a house and now seeks independence to enjoy life. You see, marriage is a cage,” Brother Sammy said, adding that blaming God for her divorce was unfounded.

Brother Sammy also dismissed an audience member’s suggestion that he should support Ohemaa Mercy, stating that he disagreed with her approach despite them being colleagues in the Gospel industry.
