Prince David Osei has rated the performance of the ruling New Patriotic Party government.
The Ghanaian actor rated Nana Akufo-Addo’s government seven out of ten.
Though the outbreak of COVID-19 had a negative impact on the economy, Prince commended the government.
He was however not okay with Ghana’s Creative Arts Industry lacking support.
“On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give them 7.
“I’ve always been saying that enough attention is not being paid to the creative sector, and the ministers and the deputy ministers and the people who are part of us that we put in place of authority are not doing much.
“I believe the creative arts (industry) should be well-equipped. We should get more of the national cake,” he stated during a discussion on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z.
“Until we start respecting the creative arts and paying attention to it, we are not going to benefit as much as we are supposed to.
“This is because a lot of people tend to look down on actors and musicians, but we have the platform, and we have the numbers.
“We can convince the people, persuade the people, cause great change in governance, and also get involved in the political discourse,” Prince David Osei added.

On Sunday, March 31st, the streets of Kotobabi Down were bustling with excitement and joy as Championrolie, the founder of Championroliefoundation along with his dedicated team, embarked on their 2nd outreach mission. This time, their mission was to provide free medical health screenings and packed lunches for street kids, an initiative aimed at giving back to the community where Championrolie himself grew up.
Teaming up with Pepsodent Ghana and Canvic Records, along with a team of passionate health workers and volunteers, the Championroliefoundation made an impactful difference in the lives of over 700 children. The day was filled with essential health screenings, ensuring that each child received the necessary care and attention they deserve. Additionally, packed lunches were distributed, ensuring that no child went hungry.
In recognition of the unique needs of girls, sanitary pads were provided, offering them a sense of dignity and comfort. Furthermore, dewormers were shared, addressing critical health concerns faced by many children living on the streets.
However, the outreach was not just about meeting basic needs; it was also about providing a day of joy and fun for these deserving children. Activities such as bouncing castles, dancing competitions, and rap battles were organized, engaging the children and bringing smiles to their faces. It was a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories.
The Championroliefoundation, established on December 5th, 2023, by Roland Frimpong Nyarko, known affectionately as Championrolie, was born out of a deep-seated passion for children. Having witnessed firsthand the plight of street kids growing up, Championrolie was driven to make a difference in their lives. The foundation’s primary goal is to provide street kids with the opportunity to realize their full potential and to instill in them a sense of hope for a brighter tomorrow.
The success of this outreach event is a testament to the dedication and commitment of Championrolie and his team. Their tireless efforts have undoubtedly made a significant impact on the lives of the children they serve.
