I Saw Her Spiritually Before I Met Her – Rex Omar On How He Found His Wife

0

Long before their paths crossed in the real world, Rex Omar says he had already met his wife in his dreams and spiritual visions, a certainty that shaped his early decision to marry.

The highlife veteran explained that his marriage at just 24 was not a spur-of-the-moment choice. Instead, it was the culmination of repeated spiritual experiences that convinced him his future partner had already been revealed to him.

In an interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime, Rex Omar described the clarity he felt as divinely inspired, leaving no doubt when he finally laid eyes on her.

“I got married to my wife very early, at age 24. I saw my wife spiritually before I met her,” he said.

That sense of familiarity, he added, made their first in-person meeting feel instant and undeniable.

“The very day I saw her, I knew she was my wife. I knew her in my visions and my dreams before I met her personally,” Rex Omar stressed.

“I Am The Happiest Man On Earth” – Asiamah Celebrates Reduced Jail Term For Nana Agradaa

Relief and celebration marked the atmosphere outside the Amasaman High Court after a ruling that brought fresh hope to Angel Asiamah, husband of evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, following a major reduction in her prison term.

Mr. Asiamah spoke to journalists shortly after the court delivered its decision, expressing overwhelming happiness and describing the outcome as a huge comfort to their family.

“I am the happiest man on earth,” in a video shared by Citinews, Asiamah said in Twi.

The court reviewed Nana Agradaa’s punishment and reduced her sentence to 12 calendar months, overturning the 15-year custodial term with hard labour earlier handed down by the trial court, which it ruled was harsh and excessive.

Although the High Court upheld her conviction, it exercised its authority to revise the punishment, determining that the earlier sentence did not align with the circumstances surrounding the case.

The revised jail term will be calculated from July 3, 2025, the date she was convicted. This means the controversial evangelist is expected to serve one year in prison.

In its reasoning, the court noted that while the offence justified a custodial sentence, fairness required that the punishment reflect proportionality, prompting the decision to reduce the term.

Nana Agradaa’s legal troubles have remained a subject of public discussion, largely due to her widely publicised transition from traditional priesthood to Christian evangelism and her continued prominence in public discourse.

Following the latest ruling, her conviction still stands, but the period she is expected to remain incarcerated has been drastically reduced.

Controversial Ghanaian evangelist and former fetish priestess Nana Agradaa is back in the news after the Amasaman High Court significantly reduced her initial 15-year prison sentence to just 12 calendar months.

The court upheld her conviction but ruled that the earlier punishment handed down by the trial court was harsh and disproportionate, leading to a major downward review of her sentence.

Stonebwoy Calls For Clear Purpose Amid Kotoka International Airport Renaming Debate

0

Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has shared his thoughts on the government’s plan to rename Kotoka International Airport to Accra International Airport, urging that any such decision must have a strong national justification.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Africa Prosperity Dialogue in Accra on Wednesday, February 4, the award-winning musician acknowledged that the airport’s current proposal is not entirely new.

“It used to be called Accra International Airport anyway, so when the name goes back, for whatever reason, I would believe that the reasons are clear, the reasons are politically accurate, and are very nationalistic—I would believe so,” he said.

Stonebwoy stressed that a name change should come with tangible benefits for the country and enhance Ghana’s international image. “But should this change and it doesn’t reflect any upliftment, then I think I wouldn’t side with that. But if it’s going to reflect upliftment and uplift a positive narrative about this nation, I’m for that.”

He also drew attention to his personal connection with General Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka, the current namesake of the airport, who hails from his hometown of Alakple. Stonebwoy acknowledged the complexities of Kotoka’s historical legacy, including his role in the 1966 coup against Kwame Nkrumah.

“Kotoka is actually from my hometown. I’m from Alakple. Anybody who knows the right history knows that General Kotoka comes from Alakple, my actual hometown. And history will tell us how he participated in the coup d’état that would have dethroned Kwame Nkrumah. So that’s the narrative that has been tagged around him for the name change of the airport.”

While some question whether Kotoka’s legacy is one the nation should honour, Stonebwoy called for a balanced perspective.

“So there’s a school of thought that insists that he does not represent a good statue for the state. I think that is the reason. I don’t want to dig into it too much because I don’t believe that one human being can be so evil all his life. There must be some good aspects. So, the fact that he got to be named after the airport may be because of his good deeds. You know what I’m saying? So if it has to be changed, then let it be changed for another good reason.”

His insights add a personal and thoughtful voice to the wider national debate over renaming Ghana’s principal international gateway, a conversation that touches on history, identity, and symbolism.

Ghanaian artiste Sam Sarfo Junior, well-known as Showboy, has been picked up by the Ghana Police Service following the circulation of a widely shared video linked to his arrest.

The video, which went viral across social media, shows the artiste in handcuffs locked in a heated verbal exchange with several officers. Throughout the confrontation, he appeared shaken and repeatedly voiced his displeasure, saying, “This is so… wrong.”

Sounds captured in the video suggest the arrest followed directives from the Criminal Investigations Department Headquarters. During the exchange, a female officer who identified herself as an Assistant Superintendent of Police was heard addressing him as officers tried to maintain order.

At one point, Showboy asked officers for water and requested to reach his doctor. He explained that he was receiving psychiatric treatment and stressed the need to speak with his psychiatrist. Officers remained composed as they attempted to calm the situation.

The arrest is believed to be connected to an earlier incident at the musician’s residence. On that occasion, individuals thought to be CID operatives attempted to detain him while he streamed live on TikTok. The recording from that encounter quickly spread across social media.

During that earlier confrontation, Showboy appeared visibly distressed and challenged the officers, arguing that they had not shown any legal documentation authorising his arrest. He refused to accompany them and insisted to both the officers and viewers watching the livestream that he could not be lawfully detained without proper authorisation.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement explaining the reason behind Showboy’s arrest.

D-Black Opens Up on Balancing Music and Business: ‘Hospitality Drives My Finances’

0

Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur D-Black has shed light on how he strategically balances his music career with his growing hospitality empire, revealing that while music built his brand, business sustains his finances.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, the rapper explained that his journey into entrepreneurship was made possible largely because of the visibility he gained through music.

“Publicly and popularity-wise, I would say the music… and that’s given me so many platforms to be able to build the business on,” he said.

According to D-Black, his music career laid the foundation for his brand recognition, opening doors and creating opportunities that extended beyond the entertainment industry.

However, when it comes to revenue generation, the artiste was candid about which venture contributes more significantly to his income.

“But financially I’ll say the hospitality business,” he stated, referring to his investments in restaurants, clubs, and lounges. “I had to put a lot of focus into that.”

D-Black disclosed that he operates a deliberate system where his attention shifts between music and business depending on the year. He admitted that, compared to some of his peers, he may not release music as consistently.

“But when I do it, it’s financially rewarding,” he noted. “Then in the year that I have the music, I pay less attention to the hospitality business. So then I keep going back and forth.”

This rotational approach, he explained, has defined the past decade of his career.

The model, he added, was partly inspired by observing his mother’s 30-year career in the tourism industry, which influenced his entrepreneurial mindset.

Over the years, D-Black has successfully built a reputation not only as a musician but also as a savvy businessman, proving that creative talent and corporate ambition can coexist when managed strategically.

Akosua Serwaa Used To Visit Daddy Lumba In Ghana: They Didn’t Divorce – Papa Shee

0

Papa Shee, a close friend of the late Ghanaian music musician Daddy Lumba, has raised concerns about the treatment of Akosua Serwaa, the first wife of the late singer.

At a press conference organized by Team Legal Wives on Tuesday, he outlined a series of events suggesting that Akosua Serwaa has faced repeated harassment and misinformation.

According to Papa Shee, Akosua Serwaa has been visiting her late husband in Ghana and has had her identity and marital status misrepresented. Contrary to circulating claims, the two were never divorced. She lived with Daddy Lumba in Tantra, amid interference in their marriage. Her presence in Ghana has previously been targeted; during a 2021 visit, she was robbed and warned against returning.

Papa Shee stressed that Akosua Serwaa has never defamed her late husband and has remained a woman of integrity and discretion. He appealed to Ghana’s highest authorities, including the government, the President, the Chief Justice, and the judicial system, to ensure that justice prevails. The situation, he noted, carries global attention, with international observers closely watching how the matter is handled.

The announcement came during a press briefing held by Team Legal Wives on Monday, February 3, 2025. Speaking to the media, Papa Shee addressed the continuing legal dispute involving Akosua Serwaa and some members of Daddy Lumba’s family. He emphasised the importance of spiritual support as the court process unfolds.

According to him, the prayer crusade will be held in Accra from Thursday, February 19, to Saturday, February 21. The spiritual gathering is expected to take place within the Kwame Nkrumah Circle area, where followers and sympathisers of Team Legal Wives are projected to converge.

Papa Shee explained that the main objective of the event is to rally believers and well-wishers to intercede on behalf of Akosua Serwaa, particularly regarding her welfare and the outcome of the legal contest. He noted that participants will join in collective prayers, seeking divine favour, protection, and deliverance from individuals perceived to be working against her.

Papa Shee indicated that the event is intended to mobilise supporters to pray for Akosua Serwaa’s wellbeing and legal victory. He stated that participants would come together to seek divine intervention, asking for blessings, protection, and liberation from those they believe are opposing her interests.

He further referenced biblical teachings to underline his belief that prayer plays a critical role in securing spiritual strength and favourable outcomes, noting that the crusade is expected to reinforce Akosua Serwaa’s resilience as the legal contest continues.

The planned spiritual programme emerges as tensions persist over the management and ownership of Daddy Lumba’s estate, which has drawn both Akosua Serwaa and another woman, Odo Broni, into a public legal battle.

Sista Afia Opens Up On Why Many Men Fear Dating Female Celebrities

0

Sista Afia is opening up about a topic that rarely gets discussed from a female celebrity’s point of view, the hesitation many men feel when it comes to dating women in the public eye.

The Ghanaian singer, born Francisca Gawugah, recently took to Facebook to unpack what she believes lies beneath the quiet distance some men maintain toward female entertainers. Her reflection moves beyond fame and glamour, focusing instead on the emotional tension, social pressure, and self-doubt that can shape how relationships with public figures are approached.

In her view, many men do not hold back because they lack interest. Rather, she believes the visibility that comes with celebrity can create an invisible wall. The admiration may exist, but the spotlight often magnifies insecurities, making potential partners question whether they measure up.

She points first to the demanding nature of a musician’s routine. The entertainment industry rarely follows a predictable schedule, and that unpredictability can challenge traditional expectations of stability. Long nights in the studio, rehearsals, performances, and constant travel can stretch personal time thin, leaving some men unsure about building a relationship around such an intense career rhythm.

Another major concern, she notes, is the public nature of celebrity relationships. Unlike ordinary partnerships, these unions frequently unfold under the watchful eye of the public. Personal disagreements can quickly become online debates, while even moments of silence can spark speculation. For many men, navigating love under such scrutiny can feel overwhelming.

Financial perception also plays a role, particularly in societies where men often feel obligated to provide consistently. Sista Afia points out that fame does not guarantee financial stability. The entertainment business can be unpredictable, with income fluctuating depending on projects, performances, and market demand. This uncertainty, she suggests, can discourage men who fear they may not meet cultural expectations.

Beyond these external realities, she believes the most significant barrier is internal. Feelings of inadequacy, fear of being compared to others, and the pressure of standing beside a widely recognized figure can weigh heavily on self-confidence. For some, the challenge is not the relationship itself but the personal doubts that accompany it.

Despite outlining these challenges, Sista Afia stresses that her intention is not to criticize but to reassure. She reminds her audience that public recognition does not erase personal needs. Behind the stage persona is someone who values trust, emotional security, loyalty, and genuine companionship. She explains that what matters most is a partner who is present and authentic, rather than someone who is simply impressed by fame or intimidated by it.

Speaking directly to men, she encourages them to resist allowing celebrity status to diminish their confidence. She suggests that perfection is not what matters in relationships, emphasizing that emotional presence and courage carry more value than outward displays of confidence or social perception.

Ending her reflection on a softer note, she leaves readers with a simple appeal: do not be scared.
