Mzbel Opens Up On How Sudden Breakup Nearly Ended In Road Disaster

0

Mzbel has talked about a breakup that blindsided her and triggered one of the most frightening moments of her life, revealing how the emotional shock nearly caused a traffic accident.

The Ghanaian singer shared the account on Hitz FM during a conversation with Andy Dosty, explaining that the relationship ended abruptly while she was behind the wheel, heading home. She said the call came without any prior warning and left her stunned.

“I was driving home, and he told me that I don’t fit into his world and we could still be friends and all that. At first, I laughed, and I was like, ‘Are you serious?’” she recalled.

According to Mzbel, the decision made little sense to her because there had been no indication that the relationship was in trouble. She pointed out that they had recently spent time together on a holiday and appeared to be on good terms shortly before the breakup.

“I didn’t do anything to him; we had even gone for a couple’s holiday and had returned, and two weeks later,” she said.

The singer said the emotional impact of the call hit her moments later as she continued driving. Overcome with tears, she struggled to keep control of her car.

“I was driving, and then I started crying, and I almost swerved out of the road,” she said.

Looking back, Mzbel said the incident has shaped how she now understands emotional pain and spirituality. She suggested that hurt feelings can be transformed into a powerful internal force, often without people being fully aware of it.

“If such a thing happens now, I know I have to generate it inside me by focusing on the way you hurt me and then focus it on you.

“What I am saying is, you do it all the time without realising. The same way someone would provoke you, and you would hit the person physically, is the same way you can concentrate your negative energies and send them to the person, and he or she would get hurt spiritually,” she explained.

Addressing questions about witchcraft, Mzbel dismissed the idea that it is limited to a few individuals or tied only to negative intentions, describing it instead as something inherent in everyone.

“Everybody is a witch. People who have not discovered their witchcraft will think that others who have discovered theirs are using it for something bad,” she stated.

Ghanaian Kumawood actress Louisa Adinkra has opened up about how her colleague Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin played a crucial role in helping her ice kenkey business thrive after a period of personal and professional hardship.

Louisa revealed that during her China importation business, she experienced three separate robberies, including one in which her warehouse was broken into and all her goods were stolen. The repeated losses left her feeling deeply distressed and pushed her to the brink of despair.

She credited Lilwin’s unwavering support during that difficult period as a turning point when speaking with ZionFelix. When she decided to venture into selling ice kenkey, his encouragement and assistance helped her rebuild her confidence and business.

Louisa explained that her brother had suggested she try selling ice kenkey, and she decided to take the idea seriously. She started by bringing samples to Kwadwo’s film set, initially giving them away for free to gauge interest. On her third visit, Lilwin bought all the samples and distributed them among the crew. He also introduced her to a business partner, who placed an order for 1,500 pieces, giving her venture the boost it needed.

She recounted that after her brother told her about the ice kenkey business, she took it seriously and first offered samples on Kwadwo’s set for free. It was on her third attempt that Kwadwo instructed her to sell to everyone and come back for the money. This sparked initial sales, but her major breakthrough came when a client, brought in through Kwadwo, tasted her ice kenkey and immediately placed an order for 1,500 pieces. That moment marked the start of her business’s growth and success.

Adenta Circuit Court Grants GH¢100,000 Bail To Ebo Noah

0

Bail has been secured for self-styled doomsday prophet Ebo Noah after the Adenta Circuit Court agreed to release him under tightly defined conditions, as scrutiny over his failed prophecy continues.

The court fixed bail at GH¢100,000 and directed the accused to produce two sureties. One of the guarantors must be supported by verifiable security, either a landed property or a vehicle. Proceedings were adjourned to March 18, 2026, to allow the case to advance.

The ruling was welcomed by the defence, which described it as a measured decision grounded in law. Speaking to reporters following the hearing, Emmanuel Sarfo, lawyer for the accused, praised the court’s approach.

“Thankfully, the court has exercised its discretion because discretion must always be fair, reasonable and just. So, it exercised it well pursuant to our laws and admitted our accused to bail with any property, with a landed property or a vehicle, in the amount of GHS100,000, and that is all,” he stated.

The court also issued a caution, making it clear that the bail remains conditional. Any failure to meet the stated requirements could result in the immediate cancellation of the bail.

Both the prosecution and the defence are expected back in court on March 18, 2026, with additional time granted to prepare for the next stage of the proceedings.

Ebo Noah, born Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Ghana Police Service after his claims sparked widespread public concern.

He had earlier announced that God had revealed to him a catastrophic flood that would end the world on December 25, 2025. The claims drew further attention when he built what he called an “ark” on his premises, which he said would protect humanity from the impending disaster.

After the predicted event failed to occur, Noah reportedly revised his account, asserting that his prayers had succeeded in postponing the destruction.

Apart from his willingness to serve, Dadie Opanka praised President Mahama’s economic performance, crediting the administration with easing the cost of living within its first year in office.

He stressed that his remarks were not driven by party loyalty, noting that he does not align himself with any political group and assesses governments based on performance rather than affiliation.

“I must say he has done very well in his first year in office. I will rate him a 7 out of 10. I am not an NPP or an NDC supporter. I will support any political party that performs well when in office. So, if this were the NPP, I would have also applauded them,” Opanka stated.

Someone Was Contracted To Kill Me In 2025 – Esther Smith Reveals

Veteran Ghanaian gospel singer Esther Smith has made a shocking revelation about how some people wanted to eliminate her.

Speaking on PAAM TV UK, the ‘Nsuro’ singer disclosed that as she prepared to travel from the United Kingdom to attend the widely publicised Alpha Hour Convocation in December 2025, she began receiving threatening messages from an unknown sender. She said the messages came from a phone number with a Nigerian area code and warned that her life was in danger.

Esther Smith explained that the sender demanded a payment of €300,000, claiming the money would halt an alleged plan to harm her. She indicated that she decided to speak publicly about the threats herself, even though her management had preferred to keep the matter private.

According to her account, the individual behind the messages claimed to have been hired by people she described as her enemies. She added that the same person also threatened to seize control of her YouTube channel as part of the intimidation.

The gospel singer said her team withheld some of these details from her at the time, choosing not to burden her with the full extent of the threats so she could remain focused on her ministry and performance.

She further revealed that this was not the first time she had faced such threats, noting that similar messages had been sent to her in the past.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, Esther Smith said officers from the National Intelligence Bureau provided her with security during her appearance at the 2025 Alpha Hour event, which was held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

She concluded by calling on her fans and loved ones to remember her in their prayers.

Estate Of Daddy Lumba At Centre Of New Court Clash Between Akosua Serwaa And Odo Broni

The death and burial of highlife legend Daddy Lumba have not brought closure to the disputes surrounding his estate, as a new legal battle has now surfaced in court.

After weeks of public disagreements linked to the musician’s death on July 26, 2025, including disputes over widowhood rites, the autopsy process, and the timing of his burial, attention has shifted to the administration of his assets.

The latest controversy follows the return of Daddy Lumba’s wife, Akosua Serwaa, to Ghana. She has reportedly taken legal steps to assume control of the late singer’s estate by applying for letters of administration.

Court records indicate that Akosua Serwaa appeared before the Kumasi High Court on January 13, 2026, exactly one month after Daddy Lumba was laid to rest. During the proceedings, she filed an application seeking authority to manage and distribute her late husband’s properties.

Her move has, however, been met with opposition. Odo Broni, another partner of the late musician, has challenged the application through her lawyers by filing a caveat at the same court.

The legal team representing Odo Broni argues that Akosua Serwaa cannot present herself as the only surviving spouse of Daddy Lumba. On that basis, they contend that she does not have the legal standing to apply on her own for letters of administration over the estate.

In response to the objection, the court has directed Akosua Serwaa and her lawyers to justify their application. They have been given seven days to demonstrate why she should be granted the authority to manage and distribute the properties left behind by the late highlife legend.

Court Reserves Ruling As State Drops Two In Abu Trica Case

0

A hearing in the extradition case involving Frederick Kumi, also known as Abu Trica, took an unexpected turn at the Gbese District Court in Accra after prosecutors acknowledged they had no evidence to sustain charges against two alleged accomplices, yet failed to secure their discharge.

According to a Graphic Online report, during proceedings, the State informed the court that Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo, who had been joined to the case as accessories, were no longer under active investigation. The disclosure followed the conclusion of investigations, which the prosecution said did not justify continuing action against them. Despite this position, the court declined to strike out the charges and instead reserved its ruling.

Eshun and Aidoo were named as accessories on an extradition charge sheet filed on December 12, 2025. Representing the Attorney-General’s Department, Derick Ackah Nyameke told the court that the Republic required time to “put its house in order” after reviewing the investigative findings.

Mr Nyameke explained that the two had been arraigned under Section 6 of the Extradition Act, 1960 (Act 22), as accessories connected to the principal suspect. When questioned by the court on why the charges should be withdrawn, the prosecution maintained that their inclusion formed part of committal proceedings undertaken while Ghana awaited formal diplomatic extradition requests.

The defence for Abu Trica seized on the State’s admission, with counsel Oliver Barker Vormawor arguing that the prosecution’s position had stripped the case of any legal foundation. He contended that once the alleged conspirators were no longer being pursued, the case against his client could not stand.

“One person cannot be found guilty of an alleged conspiracy because the alleged conspirators are no longer before the court,” he said. He added that under Ghanaian law, “where alleged conspirators have been identified but have been discharged, it is legally impossible to proceed against the remaining accused person”.

Mr Vormawor further argued that the December 12, 2025 charge sheet did not suggest the existence of any unidentified conspirators, insisting that “the charge against Abu Trica fails in its entirety”.

The prosecution opposed the defence application, with Mr Nyameke stressing that Abu Trica was not before the court for a domestic criminal trial but for extradition-related committal proceedings. He cited Act 22 and the 1931 extradition treaty, which permit the provisional arrest and court appearance of a fugitive while extradition arrangements are completed.

“The objection raised by defence counsel is premature,” he said, noting that the State had also filed a motion on notice seeking to stay the extradition proceedings, which had been served on the defence earlier in the day.

Presiding judge Justice Bernice Ackon declined to discharge any of the accused persons and adjourned the case to February 7, 2026, for a ruling.

Speaking to journalists after the hearing, defence counsel Aggrey-Finn Amissah criticised the decision, arguing that it contradicted the prosecution’s own stance.

“Prosecution is at the discretion of the state. The court should not have any interest… yet the judge decided not to discharge the two persons the state itself says there is no evidence against,” he said.

Mr Amissah also disclosed that the defence has filed a bail application at the High Court, which is expected to be heard on January 20, 2026.
