“For me, the people who received the diplomatic passports, I cannot say they don’t deserve it. Because Rocky Dawuni has worked hard. It is not easy to be nominated for Grammy so he deserves it.

His comments come after Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, awarded diplomatic passports to five Ghanaian creatives for their outstanding roles in promoting Ghanaian and African culture across the globe. Mama Esther Responds to Backlash Over Viral “Daughter” Outfit At Her Mother’s One-Week Observation

Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Mama Esther has addressed the widespread criticism that followed a viral video from the one-week observation of her late mother, in which her daughter appeared in what some described as an “inappropriate” outfit.

The young woman, dressed in a black off-shoulder blouse that exposed part of her cleavage, drew significant public attention and backlash, with many questioning the decency of her attire given Mama Esther’s respected status as a gospel minister.

However, speaking in an interview, Mama Esther urged the public to refrain from passing harsh judgments, clarifying that the woman in question is not her biological daughter but rather the child of a close family friend who has long been like family to her.

According to the gospel icon, the woman is a virtuous, married mother who meant no disrespect by her choice of clothing. She attributed the wardrobe incident to a possible malfunction caused by breastfeeding.

“It was a result of pressure. That wasn’t how the dress initially fit, but she is a breastfeeding mother, so I want to assume when she went to feed her baby, she suffered a malfunction. She is a virtuous woman and she was even around with her husband,” Mama Esther explained.

She added that the young woman was deeply distressed by the social media backlash, worried that the incident might tarnish her image.

Nonetheless, Mama Esther maintained that she remains unfazed by the criticism, emphasizing that the issue does not reflect the woman’s character, nor does it affect her faith or ministry.

“She’s a good person, and this doesn’t define her. People should learn to understand situations before judging,” Mama Esther concluded.
