Speaking in an interview with ZionFelix, the “Wama Mekra Anigye” singer cautioned women against marrying for wealth or property, saying such motives often lead to disappointment. She explained that properties should not be the main focus when choosing a life partner and encouraged women to work hard to acquire their own wealth instead of relying on their spouses.

Evangelist Mama Pat or Nana Agradaa made an appearance at the Accra High Court on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in connection with her ongoing legal battle with Osofo Appiah Biblical.

According to a report by Angel FM’s legal correspondent, Agradaa was transported to the court premises in a police vehicle through an underground tunnel, accompanied by heavily armed officers, ahead of the scheduled 12 p.m. hearing.

Her husband, Angel Asiamah, and his legal counsel were also present at the courthouse to observe the proceedings. However, despite being at the court premises, Agradaa reportedly remained inside her vehicle and did not enter the courtroom.

As a result, the case has been adjourned to Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Samini Challenges Stereotypes About Entertainers: “Not Every Creative Smokes, Drinks, or Womanizes”

0

Ghanaian music icon Samini has addressed persistent stereotypes surrounding entertainers, arguing that not all creatives are involved in vices such as smoking, drinking, or womanizing.

Speaking on the Health Quarters Podcast, the award-winning singer and songwriter said it was unfair for society to generalize such behaviours as being inherent to the entertainment industry.

“It’s a perception,” Samini stated firmly. “There are a lot of doctors and teachers who smoke. So you can’t just say it’s a creative person thing.”

According to Samini, while such habits may exist among some artistes, they are not exclusive to the creative industry. He explained that many young people who enter the entertainment space do so at a young age, and some fall into such lifestyles due to peer pressure and inexperience.

“We enter the space quite young,” he noted. “You’re a teenager, you see what others are doing, and you think it’s part of the culture. If you’re not careful, it becomes a habit before you even realize it.”

Samini, who has often been admired for his maturity and composure, said he was fortunate to pull out of such circles early, learning to prioritize discipline, focus, and self-control throughout his career.

On the topic of womanizing, the My Own hitmaker offered a nuanced perspective, suggesting that the issue should be approached with understanding and honesty rather than blanket condemnation.

“I don’t think womanizing is a problem,” he said, drawing laughter from the podcast hosts. “What matters is honesty. If you’re in multiple relationships, be open. Don’t deceive anyone.”

He further linked the discussion to traditional African views on polygamy, emphasizing that mutual consent and respect are essential.

“You can’t force polygamy down anyone’s throat,” he added. “But if a man is open and a woman knows what she’s agreeing to, then there’s mutual respect.”

Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament (MP) Adwoa Safo and her brother Kwadwo Safo Jnr have become the center of online discussion following the resurfacing of an awkward video showing a tense moment between the two siblings.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, was captured during the 40-day observance of their late father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, founder of the Kristo Asafo Church and the Kantanka Group of Companies.

The ceremony took place on October 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Complex.

In the viral clip, Kwadwo Safo Jnr is seen walking toward his seat and greeting his siblings one after the other.

However, when he reached Adwoa Safo, she appeared visibly disinterested and refused to shake his hand. In an awkward twist, Kwadwo Safo Jnr took her limp hand and shook it briefly before moving on a moment that immediately drew public attention and speculation about their strained relationship.

The resurfaced footage has reignited conversations about the alleged feud between the two siblings following the passing of their father on September 11, 2025.

The late Apostle’s death was formally announced in a statement released by Adwoa Safo, his daughter and designated heir apparent, on September 14.

Tensions between the siblings reportedly escalated after the announcement, with both allegedly claiming leadership roles within the Kantanka empire.

The dispute took a dramatic turn when a statement purportedly issued by the Safo family warned the public not to engage in any funeral or business transactions with Kwadwo Safo Jnr, also known as Akofena, stating that such dealings would be “at their own risk.”

While neither Adwoa Safo nor Kwadwo Safo Jnr has publicly commented on the viral video or the reported family division, the incident has fueled online debates about inheritance, family unity, and leadership succession within one of Ghana’s most influential families.
