Addressing why he couldn’t fulfill the bishop’s request for an extra GH₵10,000, Salinko humorously mentioned that he had several upcoming events and commitments to prepare for, including Koleege’s mother’s funeral, Diana Asamoah’s mother’s funeral, Mama Esther’s mother’s funeral, and the 25th anniversary of ‘Choboi.’ With a smile, he added that perhaps Bishop Salifu Amoako himself would have to cover that additional amount.

The actor emphasized that he has never been afraid to give offerings, even during tough times. He recalled moments when he gave so freely that people thought he might be “losing it.”

Salinko expressed strong faith that whatever he gives toward God’s work will be rewarded double. He added that the GH₵20,000 gift to Grace Ashley was not excessive, either for him or in the eyes of God.

The event drew a large turnout of public figures and entertainers who came out to support Grace Ashley as she marked a remarkable milestone in her gospel music journey.

I’ll win against Black Sherif in the next TGMA Artist of the Year category – Piesie Esther

0

Award-winning gospel musician Piesie Esther has declared that she is fully confident of winning the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artist of the Year if she once again finds herself nominated alongside Black Sherif.

The gospel powerhouse, who was one of the strongest contenders for the ultimate title two years ago, narrowly lost to the “Kweku The Traveler” hitmaker. However, she says that experience only strengthened her resolve and faith.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Piesie Esther reflected on the 2023 edition of the awards, noting that although she was hopeful for victory, she accepted the result as part of God’s divine plan.

“I saw my nomination as a big win in itself. From where I started to standing among the biggest names in Ghanaian music was something I thanked God for,” she said.

Now, with a renewed sense of purpose and a string of successful projects, Piesie Esther believes she has what it takes to clinch the top honour in the next edition of the TGMAs.

According to her, both she and Black Sherif have had outstanding years — releasing hit songs, performing at major concerts, and meeting all the key benchmarks for Artist of the Year recognition — but she believes her impact this year gives her the edge.

“This year has been amazing for me. My new song ‘Nyame Ye’ has touched so many hearts — even little children are singing it. I’ve worked hard and remained consistent, so I believe if I’m nominated again, I’ll win hands down,” she confidently stated.

The “Waye Me Yie” hitmaker emphasized that she has put in immense effort to sustain her ministry and musical brand since her last TGMA nomination, adding that her unwavering faith continues to guide her journey.

As anticipation builds for the next TGMA season, Piesie Esther’s declaration has already sparked conversation among fans — with many eager to see whether the gospel star’s conviction will translate into a historic win.
