Nana Poku Ashis, the manager of veteran Ghanaian Gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong, has responded to allegations his wife spewed on Oyerepa FM.

Ghanaian Gospel music fans were shocked when the wife of the ‘Wo Haw Ne Sen’ singer stormed Auntie Naa’s show on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Mrs Sarpong made a lot of allegations on the popular radio program known for settling marital issues.

She even accused the veteran musician of cheating with Maame Tiwaa, a member of his band.

The woman said she was shocked to know Maame Tiwaa was the one taking care of her sick husband at a prayer camp after she was told to stay at home.

She also accused her in-laws of treating her poorly.

Yaw Sarpong’s wife claimed her suggestion for them to use the GHS 100,000 that Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia gave to her husband to complete his house was not taken.

She created an impression that all was not well with their about 40-year marriage.

On the back of this, Nana Poku Ashis, the manager of Yaw Sarpong expressed his disappointment in the woman when speaking to ZionFelix on the phone.

He was unhappy about the route that the woman used—when there were several alternatives to settle any issue.

Ashis disclosed that they will take action at the right time.

I Can’t Work With Alcohol Brands – Joe Mettle

Joe Mettle has made it clear that he is not ready to work with alcohol brands.

The award-winning Gospel artiste made his stance clear in an interview on Hitz FM.

He said he can only work with brands that match his values.

In this regard, he won’t accept sponsorship from any alcohol brand.

“It is a no for me. Aside from faith, you can only work with brands that complement what you do.

“A company’s sponsorship is mostly not free since, no matter what, you will be required to pay it someday since you will be invited on their stage,” Joe Mettle said.

Answering a question about companies that won’t require public acknowledgement, he stated:

“With brands that give sponsorship and do not want to be mentioned, that is the silent sponsors, because silence is silent, I don’t know what I will do about that now though.”

Ghanaian Gospel artiste, Joe Mettle, has made his stance on collaborating with secular artistes known.

He talked about his interest in not accepting collaborations from secular artistes in an interview on Hitz FM.

The ‘Ye Obua Me’ singer mentioned spiritual guidance as the reason why.

Sarkodie and M.anifest are among the artistes who wanted to collaborate with him.

“This conversation again? Yeah, Sarkodie talked about it. So, I will tell you point blank, collaborating with secular artistes is a door I don’t want to open. When the spirit allows you to do certain things, he has a reason for it but until then.

“And I think by principle… You know I have so many friends that if you do one, you have to do for everyone.

“Yes Manifest. He is my brother but he has been calling me out a lot on radio because of this. Maybe when the time comes or I get the release, I will do it. But that spirit has to bear witness with mine,” he stated.

Until the spirit gives him the go-ahead, we might not witness a Joe Mettle collaboration with any secular artiste.

Stop playing with our religion in your skits; Angry Mulsim man warns Dr Likee

In a video that has recently gone viral on social media, a deeply devoted Muslim man can be seen and heard angrily issuing a stern warning to popular Ghanaian comedian Dr. Likee.

The concerned Muslim, Khalifa, whose video has sparked significant online discourse, cautioned Dr Likee/Akabenezer to exercise caution and sensitivity when creating skits that reference Islam.

In the explosive clip, he emphasized that the comedian has the creative freedom to include Muslim characters and themes in his work.

But it should come with handling religious topics with respect and care, and not like how he and his crew act in their comedic skits.

Khalifa who had lost his temper in the studios of Angel FM during an interview with Mr Katah said;

“Any skit that will downgrade Islam, we don’t want it. Any skit that will bring Islam up or upgrade it is fine,” the man stated emphatically in the video.

As of now, Dr. Likee is yet to respond to the warning.
