Big Akwes Secretly Marries His Girlfriend From Germany (Watch Video For Details)

Kumawood actor, Akwasi Asamoah, popularly known as Big Akwes, is reportedly married.

It was revealed in a video available to Zionfelix.net that Akwes and his partner, Freda, tied the knot last weekend.

Close friends of the couple revealed in a TikTok live that Big Akwes settled down with his Germany-based girlfriend on July 31, 2023.

Xandy Kamel, who was part of the live TikTok panel hinted that she has details about the marriage ceremony.

The popular actor, is, however, yet to comment about it.

Details about where Big Akwes and his partner got married are yet to be made public.

Mekakrawa, which was launched in Kumasi in May 2023, is a policy that insures the subscriber and one dependent against the loss of life due to natural and accidental death. The subscriber of the insurance policy is also covered against total permanent disability and four major critical illnesses.

As part of promotions to help Ghanaians get the most out of life, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana visited Koforidua with their brand ambassadors to inform, educate and engage residents about Mekakrawa.

Ghanaian actor Kojo Nkansah Lil Win, one of the biggest entertainers in Ghana was in Koforidua with the Prudential team, tapping into his friendly nature to speak to people on the streets, shops and home about the need for insurance and guiding them to subscribe for a protected future.

Veteran actor Fred Amugi also shared some wisdom about Mekakrawa insurance policy, encouraging the need to plan for unforeseen circumstances in the future.

The visit by the Prudential Life Insurance team to Koforidua which was nothing short of excitement was gladly accepted by the residents who made all the enquiries about the policy.

From education to entertainment, the Mekakrawa insurance policy’s introduction to the people of Koforidua was a success.

Efya has finally responded to Bulldog’s comments regarding her relationship with Nigerian artiste Wizkid.

In a post over the weekend, Bulldog questioned why R2bees and Efya, who are close friends with Wizkid have not been part of the international shows headlined by the Nigerian musician.

He suggested that all they do when Wizkid is in Ghana is smoke and chill, implying that they are not actively pursuing international opportunities.

However, Efya emphasized that being an artiste goes beyond simply accompanying someone on stage.

She explained that mounting international stages involves various factors that may not be evident to the public.

Scheduling conflicts, prior commitments, and logistical constraints sometimes make it challenging for her to be present at every one of Wizkid’s performances.

Wendy Shay, the talented artist signed to Rufftown Records has recently opened up about her experiences since relocating from Germany to pursue her music career in Ghana.

During an interview on the Day Show with Berla Mundi, she candidly shared that her journey in the Ghanaian music industry has been accompanied by an unexpected increase in spiritual challenges.

Prior to her move to Ghana, Wendy Shay mentioned that she lived a relatively trouble-free life in Germany, devoid of any significant spiritual battles.

However, upon arriving in Ghana and delving into her musical endeavors, she began encountering these spiritual hurdles.

In her heartfelt account on the show, Wendy Shay disclosed the unique challenges she has faced and how they contrasted with her experiences back in Germany.

“Growing up in Germany, you don’t really see spirituality like that but when I came to Ghana, obviously, I faced a lot of spiritual battles,” she disclosed.

The “Habibi” singer continued saying that “It’s normal everywhere. Music itself is a spirit. What is so special about me that people will like to come and watch me perform. There should be something that is beyond me that is actually making that happen.”

Wendy Shay, who has now found her footing in the industry, and is ready to live her purpose fully, added saying;

It has made me know who I really am. I know I always wanted to do music but knowing your purpose and living a purpose-driven life is different and that is what I am right now. I live very purposely and I am very mindful of whatever.”

Harrygraphic wins Volta Best Blogger at Volta Media Excellence Awards 2023

One time Ghana Youth Blogger of the year Harry Ahovi with the brand name Harrygraphic has been adjudged the Best Blogger in Volta Region at the just ended Volta Media Excellence Awards 2023.

The young man is the personal blogger and publicist to Ghana’s youngest musician Foto Copy and his brother Jessy Degreat who is an Afrobeat singer and a rapper.

The 4th edition of the Volta Media Excellence Awards took place at HO Technical University campus on Saturday 29th July 2023. The event saw top media personalities from the region come together to celebrate their success and share their experiences with the young ones.

Speaking to Volta First TV, Harrygraphic expressed his excitement after receiving his plaque. He also urged his colleague bloggers to be United in pushing talents and other good materials from the region. Currently, Harrygraphic is one of the reporters recruited by Ghanaweb on the Ghanaweb reporter.

His contribution to the media space has been crucial and positive across the country with works that prove his credibility.

Customers of Ghana’s preferred ride-hailing company, Yango have been treated to a movie screening in Accra. 

Dubbed the Yango Movie Night, the event hosted over 155 customers drawn from tertiary institutions, the influencer and content creation community, social media followers, and some partners. 

The event was the latest in a series of innovative projects from the company, aimed at bringing customers closer to the brand and offering them treats deserving of the loyalty they’ve shown Yango in the last 4 years since launching in Ghana. 

Country Manager of Yango, Tom Ofonime said the event underscored the company’s commitment to its customers.

Former French Ambassador, Anne Sophie Avé, has told Ghanaian authorities to give diplomatic passports to some musicians.

She thinks these musicians are selling Ghana positively on the global stage.

In a tweet, H.E Sophie Avé mentioned the names of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees and King Promise as the musicians who deserve to be given diplomatic passports.

She argued that their contributions to Ghana on the international stage cannot be matched by what the best ambassadors could do in a lifetime.
