“Will You Buy Diapers?” – Vicky Zugah Questions Nana Romeo Following Nikki Samonas’ Marriage and Childbirth Interview

0

A social media reaction from Vicky Zugah has added a fresh layer to the ongoing conversation sparked by Nikki Samonas’ candid interview about love, marriage and personal priorities.

The discussion began after Samonas appeared on Okay FM with Nana Romeo, where questions around marriage and childbirth once again took centre stage. Her responses, which pushed back against societal pressure to settle down, quickly gained traction online.

Zugah, weighing in on Instagram shortly after ZionFelix posted, appeared unimpressed with the recurring line of questioning. “Romeo always seems to be bothered about people without kids. Will you buy them baby food and diapers or you will baby sit and pay their fees? 🙄” she wrote, challenging the relevance of such expectations.

Her comment drew support from followers, including Instagram user @keziah_davis, who responded: “@vickyzugah my sister say again. Her in laws won’t even be feeding the kids for her… yet they’ll talk”

Zugah doubled down in a follow-up reply, signalling a broader shift in perspective around life choices. “@keziah_davis it’s time to move on from this question. This is 2026,Everyone’s priority is different.”

The exchange echoes sentiments raised by Samonas during her interview, where she made it clear that marriage and childbirth should not be treated as measures of personal success or fulfillment.

“Love is a verb; it is a doing word, an action word. But we don’t base our decision to get married on love alone. If you go on social media, there are a lot of beautiful couples, yet many of them are divorced.

“In the same way, I say giving birth shouldn’t be a yardstick to heaven, marriage isn’t a yardstick to heaven. I want my peace of mind,” she said.

Samonas also described dating as a positive experience, despite having no personal experience with marriage.

“I am in a relationship… dating is a very nice thing. I haven’t been married before, so I have no experience with marriage. But if you ask me, I can only speak about dating, and I will say it is a very nice thing.

“If I get married and come back here, then you can ask me the difference between marriage and dating,” Nikki Samonas added.

“Will You Pay Their Fees?” – Vicky Zugah Blasts Nana Romeo After Nikki Samonas Interview

Ghanaian actress Vicky Zugah has reacted strongly to comments made by radio presenter Nana Romeo, following his recent interview with Nikki Samonas.

The discussion, which has since sparked conversations across social media, centered on Nikki’s stance on marriage and childbirth. In the interview, the actress boldly stated that having children is not a prerequisite for salvation, stressing that “having children isn’t a ticket to heaven.” She also noted that she finds the excitement in dating more appealing than rushing into marriage.

However, it appears some of the commentary that followed did not sit well with Vicky Zugah. Taking to the comment section of a post by ZionFelix, the actress questioned Nana Romeo’s persistent interest in people without children.

“Romeo always seems to be bothered about people without kids. Will you buy them baby food and diapers or you will babysit and pay their fees?” she quizzed.

Her response has since gone viral, with many social media users weighing in on the ongoing debate about societal expectations surrounding marriage and childbirth.

For years, Nikki Samonas has maintained that she will only have children after marriage and refuses to bow to pressure from society.

Her recent comments have once again reignited conversations about personal choice, independence, and cultural expectations.

Ghanaian actress Nikki Samonas has opened up about her relationship status and her outlook on marriage, saying she is currently focused on maintaining her peace of mind rather than rushing into settling down.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on OKay FM, she confirmed that she is single and reflected on why she has not yet taken steps toward marriage.

According to her, personal peace remains a priority, and she does not see marriage as a measure of spiritual success or fulfilment. She explained that while love plays an important role in relationships, it is an action-driven commitment and not the only factor people should rely on when deciding to marry. She also pointed out that appearances on social media can be misleading, noting that many couples who seem perfect online eventually separate.

Nikki Samonas added that she applies the same thinking to life milestones in general, stressing that neither childbirth nor marriage should be treated as benchmarks for reaching heaven or achieving ultimate approval. For her, what matters most is living with a clear mind and emotional stability.

She also shared her perspective on dating, describing it as a pleasant experience. Although she has never been married, she said she enjoys dating and can only speak from that perspective for now. She added that if she eventually marries, she would then be in a position to compare both experiences and speak more fully about the differences.

“TGMA Did Not Try For Me” – Lyrical Joe Reacts to Single Nod

Lyrical Joe is not hiding his disappointment ahead of this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards, insisting his recent body of work has been undervalued.

Speaking on Asempa FM, the rapper disclosed that his name appeared in just one category, Best Rap Performance, a result he finds difficult to reconcile with the effort he put into his music over the past year.

“I was only nominated for Best Rap Performance. TGMA did not try for me. In the year under review, I dropped one of the best albums, ‘I Am’. I really worked hard on it and it’s about the quality of the job as well,” he said.

For him, the conversation goes beyond a single nod. He believes his album I Am had the weight to compete in top-tier categories, particularly Album of the Year, and should have been judged alongside other leading projects.

“It’s a great album, so it deserved to be nominated. It should have been in the Album of the Year category, compared to some other albums in there. If we are talking about quality music, mine shouldn’t be left out and it’s something I was looking forward to,” he stated.

Lyrical Joe further revealed that his team submitted his work across multiple categories, including Best Rap Performance, Hip-Hop Artiste of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Hiplife Artiste of the Year. Despite that spread, only one entry made the final list.

“Mostly, people nominated for Best Rap Performance also get into Hip-Hop and Hiplife Artiste of the Year with the same songs, but I didn’t get into those categories,” he noted.

He also raised concerns about what he considers a recurring pattern in the awards scheme, recalling a similar experience in the past that left his camp feeling overlooked.

“Is there a reason why I can be nominated in this category with people with the same song and they still get nominated in the other categories with the same songs, but I don’t make it to that category? Two years ago, the same thing happened. We questioned them, but they ignored us. I decided not to question again this time because there’s no need if they ignore us the first time,” he questioned.

Nonetheless, the rapper says he is keeping his focus on the bigger picture, choosing to stay motivated as he continues to build his catalogue.

“At the end of the day, they still nominated me, but I believe a time will come and we will be in most categories. I just have to keep working,” Joe further stated.

Captain Planet is not backing down after sparking debate online over politics and national development.

The Ghanaian musician stirred reactions on X when he urged a shift away from partisan divisions, arguing that the country’s progress depends on moving past entrenched political loyalties. In his post, he expressed support for President John Dramani Mahama’s efforts, insisting that the focus should be on results rather than party lines.

He wrote: “Ghana it’s time to stop politicization. This man is really trying to move this country forward thats my opinion. 🤷🏼‍♂️

We go do NPP NDC , NDC NPP saa then nothing go happen.

Only a witch who doesn’t like good things to happen to this country.”

His remarks arrive at a time when public frustration is rising, following the country’s recent power challenges, a situation that has intensified political tensions and online exchanges.

Counsellor Lutterodt Praises Delay, Calls RNAQ Interview Perfect

0

Counsellor George Lutterodt has defended media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, following criticism after her recent interview with Richard Nii-Armah Quaye.

Speaking on Angel FM, the marriage counsellor rejected assertions that Delay is ineffective as an interviewer, arguing that her long-standing presence in the media tells a different story.

Lutterodt believes her career span alone reflects endurance and professional weight, pointing to nearly two decades in the industry as evidence of her credibility and influence.

“Some people were saying Delay doesn’t know how to ask questions, but that’s okay. She’s always delayed and in her delay, people get orgasm,” he said.

He went on to describe her media journey as one marked by consistent battles and survival, insisting she has managed to stay relevant despite industry pressures and setbacks.

“In her 18 years of doing her show, what has she not fought? She’s fought TV stations, radio stations and she’s done a lot in life. She has credible sponsors on her show, a solid team, and she’s able to attract people for interviews,” he stated.

Shifting to the controversy around her interview with RNAQ, Lutterodt argued that the nature of questioning falls squarely within Delay’s discretion as an experienced host, suggesting critics are missing the point of her approach.

“Even if RNAQ went to beg Delay to interview him by payment, Delay is wise. If Delay interviewed RNAQ without taking money, she’s a fool, with no apologies. Because in the heat of the moment, everybody wishes to interview RNAQ,” he shared.

He further defended her journalistic choices, insisting that interviewers are not obligated to follow public expectation when framing their questions.

“If Delay was able to get RNAQ and interview him, there are questions she wants to ask, not necessarily what the public expects. Why is she being trolled? Things that are known already, you don’t ask.” he said.

According to him, RNAQ also had agency in the exchange and was not restricted in how he responded during the conversation.

“If the man you’re asking the questions decides to answer, he should do that. Delay didn’t provide answers to him. All the questions Delay asked were answered,” he noted.

Concluding his remarks, Lutterodt described the interview as fair and effective, insisting Delay executed her role properly and should be supported rather than criticised.

“It was a perfect interview and I’m in support of it. If every man would come out of their way to clarify issues when they believe something is untrue, we would have sanity in our judgment in the public court of opinion,” Lutterodt further stated.

Yaw Siki Opens Up On Hip-Hop Influence And Early Exposure To Alcohol And Weed

0

Yaw Siki has revisited his past, pointing to hip-hop culture and his upbringing as key influences behind his early curiosity about drugs and alcohol.

During an interview on Hitz FM, the former rapper reflected on how his exposure to certain themes in music and everyday life gradually informed some of the decisions he made as a young man.

He said his connection to hip-hop, particularly underground sounds he closely followed at the time, introduced him to ideas that later sparked experimentation.

“Hip-hop itself, that culture made me curious about weed smoking. I wanted to try weed because of hip-hop,” he said plainly.

Yaw Siki explained that constant references to marijuana in the music he admired made the habit seem familiar, even before he experienced it firsthand.

“I loved underground hip-hop music, West Coast underground hip-hop music. They always talked about, ‘we smoke weed every day’ and all that. I’m a serious fan of them. So I was curious about weed because all the people I loved and followed talked about it,” he explained.

That curiosity, he noted, did not remain theoretical for long. After completing senior high school, he eventually tried smoking, turning interest into action.

He also drew a connection between his early exposure to alcohol and his home environment, recalling how routine errands for his mother shaped his first encounters with drinking.

“My mom used to send me to buy alcohol. She loved gin a lot, and it got to a time when I wanted to taste it. So if there were three shots in the bottle, I would take one. That’s how I started drinking, with gin,” he revealed.

Despite acknowledging these influences, Yaw Siki made it clear he harbours no resentment toward his family. He described their actions as reflective of what felt normal at the time.

“They are humans, and probably they thought it was normal, just as we today might think some things are normal in our lives, but they may not be normal,” he stated.

A Plus Insists The Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy Rivalry Should Continue

0

A Plus is not in favour of ending the long-standing rivalry between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy. He insists it should be left to run its course.

The Gomoa Central MP shared his stance during an interview with Elsie Lamar on GhanaWeb TV, where he described the situation as a useful dynamic within the entertainment space rather than a conflict that needs resolution.

“Yes, I think Shatta Wale’s feud with Stonebwoy should continue. Both of them are my friends, and I see value in everything,” he said.

He leaned on sports to make his point, suggesting that competition is built into how audiences engage with entertainment and should not always be smoothed over.

“Why should Kotoko and Hearts wake up one day and become friends? That’s life,” he stated.

From his perspective, the tension between the artistes is less about personal dislike and more about positioning and market appeal. Each camp draws strength from its loyal following, turning the rivalry into a commercial asset.

“They’re not real-life enemies. It’s the business that they’re doing. Shatta Wale has his fanbase, and Stonebwoy also has his, so that’s how they make money. Why do we want to end the feud?” he explained.

To drive the idea home, A Plus shared a story about a prolonged court case that sustained a family over the years, arguing that some situations persist because they serve a purpose.

“It’s like a lawyer whose son went to end a 20-year-old case. The case has been going on for twenty years, and this guy went to finish the case,” he said.

“He thought his father was going to say he had done, but he reacted otherwise. The father told him that he used the case to pay his school fees and made his life comfortable, so he decided to end it. Then he said they would have to go for a review.”

He also cautioned fans against getting too emotionally invested in what he views as a calculated showbiz dynamic.

“I think all this is show business, so they’re not enemies. When I see people trying to get involved in the fight, I always say it’s not that deep,” A Plus further stated.

DKB Clashes With Prince David Osei Over Dumsor Claims, Defends Mahama’s Power Record

0

Tension around Ghana’s power challenges has found its way into the entertainment space, with comedian Derick Kobina Bonney stepping in to counter actor Prince David Osei over remarks directed at President John Dramani Mahama.

The dispute traces back to a post Osei made on X on April 27, 2026, where he tied Mahama’s periods in office to recurring dumsor and rising electricity costs. His comments reignited a familiar political argument about responsibility for the outages.

DKB has pushed back strongly, arguing that the criticism is shaped more by partisan interests than by a balanced reading of events. He contends that focusing solely on Mahama overlooks how the power situation shifted across successive governments.

According to the comedian, the crisis had been stabilised before Mahama left office during his earlier administration. He insists the return of load-shedding came afterward, without a clear timetable to resolve it.

“Yes, he has seen an opportunistic chance to speak. JM solved dumsor before leaving power. Your NPP sent us back to dumsor, without a timetable,” the comedian fired back on X.

He also took issue with the selective commentary, questioning why Osei did not speak up during a period he believes saw consistent electricity supply.

“When JM kept the light on for one year straight, couldn’t you pass a comment? Or you had a sore throat?” he asked.

DKB further downplayed the current outages, attributing them to technical adjustments rather than political shortcomings.

“It’s a system upgrade, Masa.”
