It is all joy as Rapper Strong Man has won his first-ever Ghana Music Award. He Won the Best Rap Performance at the ongoing 25th Telecel Ghana Music Award.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards as usual came in with many surprises.

One of the biggest awards ceremonies in the Ghanaian music industry, the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

For years now, Strongman has ‘yearned’ the Best Rap Performance Category at then-VGMAs which he lost to other rappers like Amerado, Lyrical Joe and the likes, many times.

It seems the transition from Vodafone to Telecel has brought some rays of blessings to the Rapper, earning him the bragging right for the next year.

The Artist of the Year Category garnered massive conversations.

The greater influence of talk centred on Stonebwoy and King Promise.

Even though a good number of people tipped and prayed for King Promise to take the day, from another strong end, Stonebwoy came in hard and won the Day.

Stonebwoy swept about 6 awards at the night including the Artist of the Year, adding to his gallery of awards earned as a musician.

Following Stonebwy’s win, King Promise has reacted. In a tweet shared on X, the 5-Star General thanked his fans for the support thus far.

According to him, his fans gave him the best year yet and nothing could change that.

Ghanaian-American singer, Ama Serwah Genfi, well-known as Amaarae, has pulled out of the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) performance.

She was to perform at the 25th TGMA tonight, June 1, 2024, but she pulled out due to some circumstances.

The 29-year-old singer announced her decision in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net.

Despite putting in more effort to show up for her first performance at the Ghana Music Awards, things did not go as planned.

She cited disrespect by the Charter House production team as the cause.

According to her, the Charter House Production Manager told her engineers that they could not fulfil their technical rider request when they went for rehearsal last night.

Amaarae added that they spent a lot of money (almost $30,000) to make her performance happen, but she had to pull out at the last minute because of how Charter House’s production team handled issues.
