Ras Kuuku has disclosed that not all industry beefs are genuine.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artiste divulged that most of the beefs in the industry are staged.
He claimed they stage the beefs for publicity.
“It’s all about love amongst the musicians because sometimes even those who are beefing say during interviews that it’s staged for trends,” Kuuku told Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast.

While he was not sure about whether there are genuine beefs or not, the ‘Wo’ singer advised fans to be able to see between staged and genuine beefs in the industry.
“So most of these perceived beefs among us might be business, but I’m not sure that there is genuinely any misunderstanding between Ghanaian artistes.”
He also said personal motives or parochial could cause conflicts between artistes.
“So the fans should know that particular thing, but if you are an artiste and you have ill feelings about your colleagues, then it’s your own palava,” Ras Kuuku added.
Award-winning Rapper, Lyrical Joe born Joseph Gamor has said Ghanaian artistes can make a lot of impact globally if the same amount spent on football is invested in music.
“Of course we can win the Grammys and make more impact with that kind of resources and it’s evident not like anyone is lying or anything else,” he told Cape Coast-based Radio Presenter Amansan Krakye
He stated that the reason why most Ghanaians feel hurt and disappointed in the Black Stars whenever they lose is due to the huge amounts the government spends on them.
“The amount that is spent by the government on football to sponsor all these things, the same amount is not spent by the government on music.
Maybe the musicians themselves spend that amount on their music but the government doesn’t spend that colossal amount on us,” he revealed
“That’s why people really get hurt or the country will really be affected when we lose in a competition like that because this money is not child’s play money.
