Speaking in a recent interview, the Bhim Nation President, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, shared how he first got to know Sarkodie during their time in senior high school.

VIDEO: Blakk Rasta speaks to Ohene Kwame Frimpong and here’s what he said

Fresh details have emerged following the arrest of Ohene Kwame Frimpong at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.

The Member of Parliament, popularly known as OK Frimpong, has now publicly addressed the incident for the first time in a video that surfaced online on May 15, 2026.

In the video, Ghanaian media personality Blakk Rasta claimed he had spoken directly with the lawmaker and shared portions of their conversation during his show.

According to Blakk Rasta, the MP strongly denied reports suggesting he had been arrested over an alleged romance scam operation.

OK Frimpong reportedly stated that authorities only informed him of a money laundering allegation at the time of his arrest and insisted that claims linking him to romance fraud were false.

He also dismissed reports alleging his involvement in money laundering operations involving sums of $100 million and $35 million.

Blakk Rasta further disclosed that Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor had revealed that lawyers representing the MP in Amsterdam had obtained access to the arrest warrant connected to the case.

According to him, the warrant was reportedly issued on April 26, 2026.

“The lawyers are just informing me that they have seen the warrant, and it was issued on April 26. So, even as a sovereign nation, I doubt whether we were informed in any way,” he stated.

The detention of the MP was earlier confirmed in a statement signed by Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror and shared on the official social media pages of the Parliament of Ghana on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

The statement indicated that parliamentary leadership was engaging Ghana’s diplomatic mission in the Netherlands to gather details surrounding the arrest.

“It’s A Gift And A Curse” – Kwesi Arthur Speaks On Life After Fame

0

For Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur, fame has come with a trade-off. The recognition that built his career has also made his ordinary life far more complicated whenever he is back home in Ghana.

In a conversation with Kafui Dey, the rapper said living abroad now offers him a kind of peace and anonymity he no longer enjoys locally. According to him, everyday activities outside Ghana feel far less overwhelming because he can move around without constant public attention.

“When I’m out of Ghana where I live, it’s more calm. I can go to a grocery store, do normal things like every other person,” he told Kafui Dey in an interview.

Kwesi Arthur explained that even the simplest tasks in Ghana can quickly become difficult once fans spot him in public. What should take only a few minutes often turns into an extended stop for photographs and interactions.

“Anywhere I go, people pull out cameras. I went to print a document for an appointment and I was late because people kept asking for pictures,” he recalled.

The rapper said adjusting to that level of attention was not easy at first, but experience has taught him how to better manage his surroundings and mentally prepare for public outings.

“I have more control over my environment now. It’s about communication and understanding where you are going,” he said.

Despite embracing the success that comes with celebrity status, Kwesi Arthur admitted there are moments from his earlier life he still longs for, especially the freedom to spend quiet time with friends without attracting crowds.

“I miss when I could go to the beach with my boys and just chill. But it’s a gift and a curse,” he added.

The award-winning musician is currently based in Atlanta, United States.

“Popular dance linked to DopeNation’s hit song Kakalika”existed years before the track became a worldwide sensation – Asamoah Gyan

Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has sparked conversation online after revealing that the popular dance associated with DopeNation’s hit song “Kakalika” existed years before the track became a global sensation.

Speaking during an interview on Channel One TV, the former striker recalled first seeing the dance around 2012, long before the release of the song in 2025.

According to Asamoah Gyan, the young man behind the dance moves was from Nima, and he had previously shared videos of him performing the moves on social media during his time with Legon Cities FC.

“I remember in 2012, he was doing that dance. I posted him on my page,” Gyan said during the interview.

The football icon explained that after “Kakalika” became hugely popular, some people reminded him that the same dancer he once posted was still living in Nima.

Curious about the connection, Gyan said he later visited the area to meet the young man in person.

While acknowledging DopeNation as the creators of the hit song itself, Asamoah Gyan stressed that the individual who created and popularised the dance moves also deserves recognition.

“The kudos has to go to the originator, the boy who created the dance,” he stated.

He further suggested that the dancer should be rewarded for his contribution to the craze surrounding the song and its viral success.

Gyan’s comments have triggered discussions on social media about the importance of crediting creators behind viral dance trends, especially those whose contributions often go unnoticed despite helping songs gain popularity online.

Lynx Entertainment Exits Artiste Management, Shifts Focus To Music Distribution

Lynx Entertainment is moving away from artist management as the company shifts its focus toward music distribution, according to founder Richie Mensah.

Speaking on the Masterminds podcast, Mensah disclosed that the label, known for managing and developing some of Ghana’s biggest music acts over the years, is now concentrating on distributing music for hundreds of artists instead of directly handling talent management.

The change marks a significant transition for the company, which has played a major role in shaping Ghana’s contemporary music scene through artist development and production.

Mensah explained that while Lynx Entertainment adapts its business direction, his personal attention is increasingly being directed toward Lynx Electronics, a venture focused on audio technology and sound products.

According to him, the move into electronics is tied to a long-standing interest in science, engineering and experimentation that existed before his music career fully took off.

He revealed that growing up, he enjoyed researching and experimenting with electronic devices and was fascinated by understanding how sound equipment worked. That curiosity later led him into sound engineering, which eventually became the foundation for his latest business venture.

After more than two decades in music production, Mensah said the transition into audio technology feels like a natural progression of his work in sound and entertainment.

He noted that the focus is no longer only on creating music but also on building the technology through which audiences experience it.

Mensah also shared that he had set a personal goal years ago to retire from active music production by the age of 40, an age he has now reached.

As part of its expansion into electronics, the company has already introduced products such as the Lynx Reverb headphones and is preparing to launch additional speaker products, including the Lynx Octave.

The shift signals a new chapter for both Lynx Entertainment and Richie Mensah, with the company repositioning itself within music distribution while its founder explores opportunities in audio technology and innovation.

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has shared his thoughts on Black Sherif winning Artiste of the Year at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, saying the achievement did not surprise him because he believes he played a part in shaping the young star’s journey.

During a discussion on Okay FM with Nana Romeo, Medikal spoke about the connection he sees between his own music and the themes Black Sherif often explores in his songs. According to the rapper, Black Sherif had been a listener of his music long before fame found him.

He recalled stumbling upon an old video of Black Sherif from his underground days, where the award-winning artiste openly expressed interest in collaborating with him.

“I no see the video when he did it. I saw it after he came into the limelight. He wanted a collaboration, and I mean Blacko being a fan of my music is not far fetched, he’s also saying the same thing I’m saying in my music, so I’m happy he won the award,” Medikal stated.

Medikal explained that his comments were not meant to diminish Black Sherif’s success, but rather to highlight the influence he feels he has had on the musician’s growth and artistic direction.

The rapper, who also earned a nomination in the Artiste of the Year category, said Black Sherif’s triumph is something he proudly embraces because he believes he inspired him in one way or another.

He also praised the new generation of musicians for openly acknowledging the artistes they admired while growing up. For Medikal, watching younger acts rise through the industry after drawing inspiration from established names is rewarding, which is why he insists Black Sherif’s victory was “not far-fetched.”
